first of all, you're not crazy! I feel it too. unfortunately I am surrounded by the "Happy Holidays" term here at work, or "Merry Everything". just another reminder of how much has been taken away from the real reason for the season! it's not just family (as we know how important family is, I'm not taking anything away from that), it IS Jesus' birth… it takes a lot of concentration to let that sink in when we are surrounded by Santa Claus, and snowmen, and yes, the seemingly neverending shopping. this I do have to remind myself when I'm freaking out about cooking the 'perfect' turkey… well, I don't want to poison my family (as this IS my first time, eek!), but they'll love me regardless of a perfectly cooked turkey… right??!!! *sigh* merry CHRISTmas!

i wholeheartedly agree chad. andrea and i were stressing the other day because we can't find time to go shopping or even think of the 'perfect' gift. why does that stress us out? the 'anti-spam word' i had to type in just now was 'grace'. fitting i think. i'm overwhelmed when i think of how God extended His grace to us with Jesus. for that i am eternally thankful. thanks for the reminder. and with all this said, i'm going to finish my shopping! haha! merry christmas!!
