Man was not made to fly… at least not for 12 hours at a time!

My Asian adventure is officially underway.  I am presently sitting at the airport in Korea!  It took two quick 30min flights to get me to Seattle, and then the monster 12hr flight to get me here.  I have to say… it went much quicker than I'd thought it would, but there's no way around the fact that 12 hours in a plane is at least 8 too many.  I will hop on a 5hr flight to Bangkok in about an hour and that'll be it for planes until the 4th.

While sitting in that enormous plane, greatly enjoying Korean hospitality, my excitment for this next two weeks has grown.  God is so amazing, and I know that I am about to see a side of Him that I have yet to understand.  I am SO looking forward to walking this journey.  I find real rest and peace in the fact that all I've been asked to do is follow.  I mean, that is truly all I'm ever asked to do… but heading into a continent that I've know nothing about, to live with a people I have very little understanding of, the simplisty of Christ's call to "come and follow"….   Well, it's a blessing!

I'll work to post a couple times while I'm on this trip… hopefully the next post will include some pics!

I'm reading through your blog again (taking a 'little' break from work, heh), and I am amazed at where God has taken you so far.  Not just physically, as you are in Asia now, but emotionally, spiritually, and whatever else there is, that words cannot express!  You know this, and obviously many others know this, but you are destined by God to do great things and go to the ends of the earth to show the world how great our God truly is.  I am so blessed to know you, and even better, be able to call you friend and watch all of God's plans unfold in your life.  It encourages me, and helps me to see that God's love never fails, and never falls away no matter how far apart we feel from Him at times. Be blessed my friend, I am SO excited to see what He has in store for you in the next few weeks!

Chad. I'm sooo excited for you! Know that you will be in my prayers. I know God has equiped you well already. I was reading this mornng and I thought I would share the basic summery: – GIve your self first to the Lord then to others-you will excel then in the grace of giving. – we are all rich as we have everything in him who is Lord of all. So I'm sure God will blow your mind with his awsomeness. Can't wait to hear more. If you are there and think you might want to go back sometime- I'M IN. p.s- If you have one of kitchen spayer things in your washroom they work great for spraying cockroaches.

Heh Chad Wow……I so agree with what Andrea has shared here. When I was spending time with the Lord this morning he showed me again in Mark 6:30-46 the truth and importance of "coming aside with Him" especially after being with the throngs. (I love that word "throngs"…..ha ha) I wanted to share it with you but didn't and now reading that God showed this to Andrea I need to and confirm that. In vs.46 Jesus sought renewal with His Father……..it's a must……and when you think about it…..not a "have to" but an "I get to." What a precious privilege! May He richly bless your times in His presence, reading and meditating on His Word, praying, listening, and waiting. As you are quiet before Him I pray you will hear the still small voice….and KNOW He is God. Psalm 46:10 I also emailed you something the Lord showed me this morning. Hope you can access that too. Am sure you are. Big hugs son….. God bless you and make you a huge blessing. Love Mom
