A Prayer For Restoration
This week was a heavy one in some respects. I heard from a number of friends and family members about life situations that have deeply moved me to pray. My heart goes out to the Dueck family, the Maier family, the Westby's, my Mom and Dad, and Janna's family. This week has been a potent example of the co-existence of joy and sorrow in this life. On the one hand there is the obvious sorrow of sickness, loss, and death, yet on the other there is the incredible joy of friendship, family, and knowing that this life is shared.
In the midst of my prayers I was prompted to record a song that very clearly captures what God has been laying on my heart. This song was first written back in September while praying for a friend. Since then it's grown into a deep cry for God's Kingdom power. I believe that God can heal. I believe that He speaks. And I believe that He can bring freedom (not only to the physical but also to the our minds, our souls, and ultimately our spirits.) I invite you to download, copy, email, and use this song to facilitate prayer in your own lives and situations. One thing is sure, we need a saviour, and this week that has become increasingly evident to me.

'Recorded on a day when our need for Christ's Kingdom was especially evident'
We pray Lord Your Freedom
We pray Lord Your blood
We pray Lord Your healing
In the name of Your son
We pray for revival, Let it start in me
Break down these prison walls, I will run free
Come to dry places, With Your life and breathe
Wind of the Spirit, Come blow over me

This is a beautiful song Chad… man , I have really missed singing with you and Janna. It's been so long, but hearing your recording has brought me back… These last few weeks have been rough, I feel like I've lost a part of me, the innocent child-like part of me in some respects. I've been overcome with stress, bitterness, exaustion, I feel in a sense that I have no direction, sometimes no purpose and it scares me quite frankly! Marc and I have been talking of course about moving out to the island. I am SO ready to start a new chapter in my life, and in our life together, and I am so drawn to move out there. But here's my dilemma… do I feel the need to move away because I want it? Or do I really feel that God is moving us? I am so unsettled here in this crazy city, I truly hope that we get some sort of answer in our visit at the end of the month. I really wish you were there when we come!!!! Thank you for your invitation into your 'space'… I am honored and blessed to still have you and Janna as friends after so long! God bless my friend, Christa

Chad, your song is a gift to us. Thanks for the moment of life you translated into a moment of music, and a moment of media, to become a moment of metamorphosis for us. The tide is rising, it seems, all around us.

Now more than ever, we are praying this prayer… our thoughts are the Westby and Block families. May God be Jayda's healer, and be your comfort…

Chad- Words can't describe how incredible it was to hear this today. It's awsome as usual to hear your voice. Totally powerful at this point in many many lives. You surley put a smile on GOD's face and I'm sure he'll put one back on yours."I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." 2 Tim 1:6-7 I have totally commited you and your family to my prayers. p.s- I could totally use some more chad recordings to listen to while I paint (and many other times). It's inspiring to me. You should hook me up one day.:) pps.- I think we have to come visit the island again soon. I'm continuing to pray but I think Cutis is still convinced we need to move there. I'm just confused.
